How the scoring works

Aircraft go in the way they go in for real: tail first, nose pointed back at the door, so they can be pulled straight out again.

Floor used is the sum of every aircraft's wingspan × length box, divided by the hangar floor. A tidy row parked wingtip to wingtip lands around 60%. Once you weave wings past each other — one nose in, the next nose out, tailplanes tucked under the neighbour's wing — you climb past 90%, and over 100% you are using space that doesn't exist on paper. That's the game.

Pulls counts how many aircraft must be towed out of the way before the selected one reaches the door. Real hangars live and die on this number: a perfect pack that buries the club's most-flown aircraft behind four others is a bad pack.

Clearance is enforced between every pair of aircraft and against every wall. Set it to whatever your insurer, or your nerves, demand.

Dimensions are published manufacturer figures, rounded to the nearest 10 cm. Check your own aircraft and your local fire code before you move real metal.
